共英製鋼山口事業所 新事務所棟

リサイクル鉄の宇宙に包まれるオフィス

共英製鋼は、鉄スクラップを電気炉で溶かし、鉄鋼製品へと再生する事業を行う企業で、鉄筋コンクリート用棒鋼の国内トップシェアを誇る鋼材メーカーである。

鉄の製造過程である「ビレット」の集積を可視化する外装デザイン、同社の鋼材製品をそのまま仕上材として取り入れた内装デザインにより新事務所棟を計画。建物全体が同社のアイデンティティを表現し、またショールームともなる空間を構築した。再生鋼材の持つ可能性を多様なデザインにより引き出し、訪れる人々に同社の一貫したビジョンと、社会貢献やサステナビリティへの取り組みを直感的に伝えるという、唯一無二の空間を創出している。
