Okumura Corporation (hereafter referred to as “the Company”), in recognition of the importance of protecting personal information, implements measures for such protection on the basis of the following policy. 1. Management of Personal InformationThe Company shall appoint managers in divisions engaged in the handling of information pertaining to individuals (hereafter referred to as “personal information”), who shall be responsible for managing personal information in appropriate fashion. 2. Acquisition of Personal InformationThe Company shall acquire personal information through appropriate and fair means. 3. Use of Personal InformationThe company shall use personal information within the sphere of the use methods indicated at the time of acquisition, and only to the extent necessary to perform its business operations. In rare instances of use of personal information beyond the sphere of the stated purposes, the Company shall obtain prior consent for that use.
4. Third-Party Supply of Personal InformationWith the exception of cases determined by law, the Company shall not supply personal information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from the party in question. 5. Secure Control of Personal InformationThe Company shall take pertinent security measures to ensure the accuracy and updates of personal information, as well as to prevent illicit access, loss, destruction, falsification, leaks and other risks related to personal information. 6. Consignment of Personal InformationWhen consigning the handling of personal information to third parties under business-related circumstances, contracts or other necessary measures shall be adopted to require that the said consignees maintain the same standards of personal information protection as practiced by the Company. 7. Disclosure of Personal Information HoldingsThe Company responds to requests for disclosure or other release of its personal information holdings by first routing such requests through its “Inquiries” page, and then promptly addressing the request within a rational sphere, including explanations of the procedural methods.
8. Complaints and ConsultationsComplaints and consultations pertaining to personal information held by the Company shall be received through methods stipulated by the Company.
9. Legal ComplianceThe Company shall comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to the protection of personal information, as well as implement, maintain and continue to strive to revise and improve the approaches based on this Policy.
